      The University of Idaho College of Engineering invites applications for the position of Chair and Associate or Full Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The administrative portion of this position is described below in the Administrative Summary.

      The successful candidate will have a baccalaureate degree and an earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates for this position must meet the College and department promotion and tenure requirements for the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure.

      This position requires a strong commitment to department leadership, teaching, and research. The Chair is responsible for guiding the faculty and staff in understanding and aligning with the university and college’s goals. Through effective leadership, the Chair ensures active participation in shaping and implementing the department’s initiatives.
      Candidates will be expected to teach courses in their area of expertise, mentor graduate students, and participate in the research mission of the university.

      Up to four weeks of summer salary will be available, to be negotiated annually with the dean.
