- The purpose of the position is to provide administrative assistance to the Head of Department and provide day to day oversight of The Department of Oral Restorative Science Administrative Officers. The role involves understanding and keeping up to date documentation for the ORS. The position works closely with the Head of Department, clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient and safe provision of Oral Health services. The role is responsible for the management of staff Health Roster, waiting lists, patient bookings, provision of various reports as may be required and delegating administrative duties to the appropriate administrative staff as required.
- Demonstrate comprehensive experience in providing high level administrative assistance and support.
- High level organisation skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines, along with the demonstrated capacity to exercise the appropriate initiative and judgement.
- Ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, to interpret complex information and advice and use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
- Possess excellent oral communication skills with a strong customer service focus, along with high level interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with diverse groups of people, both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and other software such as, but not limited to, Titanium, Healthroster, Stafflink, iProcurement.
