A bout DTMB:
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About the position:
This position is responsible for assisting the Business Office and its members at the Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township (MVHCT) with the original application and the redetermination process for Medicaid benefits. The position is involved with the following areas: financial statement review, admission review, member services, member benefit eligibility, insurance and medical review, and customer service. Additional responsibilities will also include compilation and processing of the Department of Veteran Affairs State Home Report which secures federal revenue for the Home. This position also will serve as the backup with all in-house member cashiering activities and process mail and payments.

Education typically acquired through completion of high school
Experience
Departmental Technician 7
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 8
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
Departmental Technician E9
One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR
Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
Departmental Technician (Trainee) 7
Two years of experience in a 7 level or higher non-administrative support ECP Group One classification.
OR
One year of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
Departmental Technician 7
Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician 8
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician E9
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
