  Job Description

  The Deputy Chief Flight Instructor (Gloucester) is responsible to the Chief Flight Instructor, on a daily basis, for the single pilot flight and synthetic flight training conducted at the Gloucester Approved Training Location.

  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Chief Flight Instructor with their responsibilities as and when requested by them
  • Attending the internal training meetings
  • Ensuring that their flying qualifications are current
  • Acting as an instructor and/or examiner, when required dependant upon availability
  • Conducting administration and other duties that directly support the role of the CFI

  Qualifications

  • Hold a current UK CAA and if required EASA CPL or ATPL.
  • Hold a current UK CAA and if required EASA Class 1 medical.
  • Hold a current UK CAA unrestricted Flight Instructor Certificate with CPL, Multi engine and instrument instructional privileges. EASA equivalent either native or FCL.900(c) would be beneficial and may need to be obtained.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and encourage staff, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from executive to administrative levels.
  • Demonstrable record of leadership in a management role.
  • Extensive experience in training as an instructor for professional pilots license.
  • No aircraft accident or aviation violation convictions.
  • Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment.

  Additional Information

  Salary £68,000-£72,000 depending on experience.

  Full Time - 40 hours, Monday-Friday.
