- You have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and/or significant post registration experience and/or relevant qualification
- You have demonstrated experience at a senior management level in a complex clinical service providing high quality care to consumers.
- You can contribute to the clinical governance system and support strategies to ensure best practice in clinical care and continuous improvement in quality and safety throughout CCLHD.

The Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DDoNM) works collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, to ensure the best outcome for patient care and service delivery is achieved through the provision of best practice quality care, optimisation of human resources, access, flow and the overall patient experience within Gosford Hospital.
In collaboration with the Operational Nurse Managers, the DDoNM ensures the development and maintenance of high clinical and professional standards in the provision of safe, effective, timely and compassionate healthcare.
The role reports operationally and professionally to the Director Of Nursing and Midwifery Gosford Hospital.
The role promotes excellence in professional nursing practice across all nursing and midwifery services in Gosford Hospital to ensure continual improvement in work practices, the care environment and health outcomes for the community.
The role Deputises for the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and acts as the Hospital Disaster Coordinator in the absence of the Director Nursing and Midwifery.
