Lead a strong team focused on business engagement with the foundation’s program strategy teams.
In partnership with the Director, set and execute strategy and direction of the team, including budget management, portfolio management of projects and program initiatives, develop a portfolio of metrics to enable access to the engagement health and for tracking towards performance targets.
Build a culture of commitment through talent and performance management including coaching and mentoring to team members, foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, to ensure continuous development of team members.
Build and maintain strong partnerships within IT and across program teams and key partners through collaboration as a trusted advisor and consultant to improve business outcomes and delivery success.
Develop a comprehensive outreach and scalable engagement model and criteria for engaging teams inside and outside of IT based on needs and requirements.
Passion to stay up to date on current relevant and emerging technologies and platforms, emerging technology and industry standard methodologies, risk landscape, and to support initiatives and business needs.
Develop and maintain the technology roadmaps. Collaborate with business and IT partners to ensure that the roadmap creates business value with technically sound solutions; seek out opportunities to apply technical innovations to customer needs.
Build and manage a portfolio of metrics to measure service health and to enable visibility of progress towards performance targets; proactively act upon opportunities to enhance team processes and practices to enhance their efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility.
Financial management including operating and capital budgets, contract lifecycle management, and vendor relationship management.
Manage, maintain, and mitigate application risk in systems within scope of responsibility and ensure all applications, systems and services follow Information Security policies, procedures and standard processes.
Be able to articulately and passionately present innovative, pioneering technology concepts to senior leaders.
Engage with and support strategic diversity, inclusion, and equity (DEI) programs to increase the awareness of inclusiveness and diversity in everyday team activities, participate and support ongoing DEI program engagement, and actively foster an environment of inclusiveness, trust, and diversity in the team.
Global travel (approx. 25%) expected.
This role has global reach and will require regular availability to support partnerships in timezones outside the U.S.
BS in Business Management, Engineering, Technology Management or related field or 10+ years equivalent working experience. MBA preferred.
At least 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology and organization-wide program management.
7+ years experience of people and talent management; passion to mentor others and to develop and strengthen team members.
Proven success in program and project management, program portfolio management, and project metrics reporting with a growth mindset and curiosity to stay up to date with industry standards.
Expertise in development and execution with complex problem-solving ability to develop effective execution plans to achieve critical initiatives and deliver with high quality.
Demonstrated business leader with operational excellence and rhythm of the business lifecycle experience including budget and forecast management, annual planning, resource allocation, process improvement, quarterly business reviews, contract renewals, goal setting, talent management.
Ability to build and foster strong working relationships inter- and cross-departmentally while continuing to influence change, challenge the status quo of work and thought, and sharing strategic organization-wide impact.
Partnership and collaboration expertise and ability to build trusted relationships with IT peers and leadership across the organization.
Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all management levels.
Strategic competence and demonstrated consulting skills with demonstrable ability to influence with senior leaders, partners and multi-functional project teams.

The Team
As part of the IT Global Engagement Services (GES) department, the Program Strategy Engagement team, enables IT’s mission of aspiring to be dynamic, collaborative, technology leaders delivering global, secure, seamless solutions and services enabling mission impact with the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence. We aim to provide exceptional global services through consistent engagement practices. We will use operating models and apply data and metrics to provide excellent quality of service enabling informed decisions through collaboration, partnership and technical consulting.Your Role
The Deputy Director of Program Strategy Engagement is a leadership role focused on partnering with the foundation’s Program Strategy teams to understand their technology needs and providing the thought-leadership, support and solutions enabling them to execute the foundation’s strategies. This role is accountable for driving a portfolio of critical initiatives, projects and programs while building strong partnerships and collaborations across the department and organization as a whole. The role will help evolve the role of IT to that of a strategic business partner and help deliver on our value proposition. The role will also be responsible for defining, communicating and delivering on the business technology roadmap and strategy. Additionally, the role will also act as a point of contact for the business teams to help initiate IT requests and help drive the business performance, while balancing the business demand against IT capacity.

The typical salary range for this role is $149,800.00 - $278,700.00 USD. The exact offer will be determined by a variety of factors such as the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications, and experience relative to the requirements of the role.
