      This role is responsible for the successful development and maturation of partnership capabilities in (and out of) country. The incumbent will drive a series of cross-sector partnerships, ventures, and business development objectives to achieve scalable outcomes, enhance corporate reputation and yield business results. The successful candidate must be strategic but with tangible results to show

      Strategy Implementation

      • Investigates and prioritise key strategic focus areas. Supports strategy implementation in the businesses.

      Partnerships Management and Commercialization

      • Implement strategic relationships with key partners across the industry verticals such as Banking institutions, Insurance companies, Investment companies, etc. to drive growth, foster innovation and strengthen the business’ competitive position
      • Identify and lead the development of multi-stakeholder partnerships and strategies to support the country and Group strategy.
      • Lead negotiations and deliberations on partnership agreements with internal and external stakeholders, to reach mutually advantageous outcomes and produce win-win solutions.
      • Profile partnership opportunities and grow strategic partnership pipeline through effective representation at forums and meetings
      • Structure, negotiate and manage partnership deals/agreements, mobilizing resources, forecasting outcomes, negotiating changes, assessing results and overseeing reporting.
      • Own relationships with Fintechs and Insuretechs
      • Responsible for product partnership collaborations (product development and monitoring)
      • Ensure the Partnership function contributes to the realization of set revenue targets.
      • Introduce digital propositions to local(e.g. Ghana) partners and coordinate presentations/pitch and workshops to facilitate understanding and adoption.
      • Coordinate appropriate sign offs within the Old Mutual internal structures, ensuring timely signoffs and adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements for faster enablement of partnerships efforts.

      • Define new ventures strategy, aligned to country strategy
      • Delivery against performance measures defined and agreed with the Head of Distribution.
      • Successful roadmap delivery and oversight
      • Key outputs, successes and failures shared with management
      • Ensures budget approval
      • Compelling business cases for successful concepts
