As a Design Analyst you’ll be a key part of the Investment Planning Team developing and delivering the investment strategy for the Network. You will have an impact on the future design of the Network, Cadent’s environmental / shrinkage and customer performance, as well as the maintenance of the network analysis models.
What you’ll get to work on
• Providing network analysis for relevant operational activities - mains replacement, connections, diversions, reinforcement, NROs and incident support
• Supporting with ensuring the Network has the physical capacity to safely deliver gas to meet our obligations and customer needs
• Carrying out analysis to support investment decisions, taking into consideration the impact on our environmental/cost performance and ensuring an excellent service standard for our customers
• Reviewing, and updating network analysis models with latest designs
• Maintaining network analysis models to ensure robust modelling outcomes and investment decisions
• Supporting and developing network / project designs for standard works; to enable delivery of the Network Asset Management Plan
• Familiar with applying the requirements of Construction Design and Management (CDM) and how this translates to the management of risk through Design
• Conversant in legislation, policy and procedures associated with the design process such as the Pipeline Safety Regulations, MSL/1, REP1, REP2, NP10, NP14, NP18 and NP37
Who are we looking for
• Design/network analysis experience
• Keen attention to detail with an eye on the environmental and commercial impact of the decisions we make as a business
• Influencing skills in relation to stakeholder management
• Proficient use and knowledge of systems and analytical tools including GBNA, DPRS, CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Understand the concept of cost benefit analysis
• Experience of change management
• Good understanding of the gas network or other utility experienceWhy Join Us
