Lead (originate) the design development, execution and sustained activation of our design systems for our Division brands

Collaborate closely with the global brand design team to ensure that the division's design strategy aligns with the overall brand strategy and guidelines, while also adapting to local market needs.

Lead the EU/AED design team in delivering excellent packaging

Mentor and grow your design team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Drive design excellence standards with internal and external agency partners (starting with packaging and expanding to brand experience and activation).

DESIGN DIRECTOR, Europe/Africa Eurasia
Summary/Purpose:
You are a global design leader with the creativity, empathy and courage needed to lead Design for the Europe/Africa Eurasia Division of Colgate-Palmolive. You are driven by the challenge of transforming a traditional CPG powerhouse into a great design-integrated, innovative, growth company. You inspire and lead people around you, dream big and push boundaries but always deliver.
You are a strategic design leader. You have a deep experience with the discovery, development and delivery of online and offline brand experience. You thrive in the ambiguity of internal and external challenges facing us today. You are able to navigate and collaborate within a global enterprise. You need to lead design and brand projects that exceed our business objectives across 2D and 3D packaging, digital platforms, retail environments and e-commerce.
Reporting:
This role reports to the Head of Division Design, (located at the Colgate HQ in NYC).

· Champion Colgate’s Design vision, approach, systems and guardianship
· Lead / participate in design-centered thought leadership
· Collaborate with cross functional business partners to develop Design Briefs and Project Planning
· Build relationships to influence regional marketing/business leaders to elevate impact and role of design
· Resource management across internal and external creative partners
· Travel up to 10%

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor Degree in Design (or similar, related qualification).
· 15+ years professional experience in design, brand or related creative industry
· Working knowledge of necessary software applications and platforms
· Hands-on packaging design skills, digital design experience very welcome
Competencies:
· Deep understanding of great brand design systems (brand equity, architecture, visual assets, guardianship)
· Able to effectively and calmly ‘juggle’ multiple assignments at one time
· Great Communicator
· Very good Presenter
