      We are looking to hire an engineer to design components for manufacturability for Experimental Product Development of Industrial Gas Turbines. The candidate should be able to design parts by collating ideas. The candidate must be willing to work on a wide variety of product development tasks such as design, simulation, instrumentation, testing, DFMEA, manufacturability etc.

      The job role includes (but not limited to) the below:

      • Design products for Gas Turbines for manufacturability
      • Refine and improve product designs by conducting root-cause analyses and provide resolutions
      • Use geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) to determine tolerances of key components
      • Determine critical influencing parameters for design and manufacturability
      • Conduct design reviews for components/sub-systems
      • Own product development tasks such as supporting manufacturing, both traditional and experimental like Additive manufacturing.

      This is a client-facing role and has a cross-functional responsibility (4-5 teams).

      Education requirements:

      • B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited engineering college with 3+ years of product development experience
      • M.E. / M. Tech in Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited engineering college with 2+ years of product development experience

      Mandatory requirements are:

      • Strong in first principle thinking
      • Clarity of thought and good communication skills – should be able to explain & present his/her ideas
      • Excellent understanding of engineering basics (mechanics, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up)
      • Good in design concepting for manufacturability
      • Good manufacturing knowledge
      • Worked on failure analysis or root cause identification
      • Tool knowledge - Creo, Windchill

      Preferred requirements are:

      • Capacity to analyse reports of simulations (FEA / CFD)
      • Basic experience in data analytics for engineering applications (test / simulation / sensor data)
      • Worked in manufacturing or production environment
      • Basic knowledge of materials
      • Tool knowledge - aPrioiri, ANSYS, PowerBI, Tableau, Minitab

      Relocation is available for this position.
