      The high jewelry designer is responsible for the creation of product through innovation based on aesthetic, Tiffany & Co.’s rich heritage and the codes and values of the house. The designer should exhibit knowledge of the company’s history and possess curiosity and a strong passion for creation, resulting in a contemporary aesthetic that maintains brand integrity. Working with the Vice President-Artistic Director and Director of High Jewelry, the designer will conduct historical research, ideate, design and present projects that meet business needs established by the Category Management department. The high jewelry designer will be responsible for monitoring the technical development of his or her projects, working in conjunction with workshops, model makers and CAD professionals to ensure design intent is conveyed, properly understood and met in finished goods.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • A degree in jewelry, metals, industrial design or fine arts and 3-5 years of experience as a Designer in a luxury house

      • A passion for jewelry accompanied by a strong sense of creativity, aesthetic sensitivity and openness to art.

      • Strong knowledge of gemology as well as jewelry manufacturing and techniques.

      • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings to appropriately monitor development in conjunction with the workshop.

      • Superior freehand drawing skills, gouache rendering techniques and/or proficiency in Rhino, rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite.

      • A strong work ethic with passion, curiosity, humility and a willingness and desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

      This position is based in New York, NY.

      The hiring range for this position ranges from $97,665 - $132,135. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
