Design Lead - Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Job Summary
As a Design Lead specializing in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), you will play a pivotal role in steering the design team towards achieving excellence in product development. Your expertise will guide the integration of design thinking within the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will be responsible for setting design standards and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to foster innovation and elevate the quality of design solutions. (1.) Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Stakeholders To Understand Business Objectives And Integrate Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles Into Product Development Processes.
2. Lead And Mentor A Team Of Designers, Providing Guidance In The Application Of Dfm Techniques And Ensuring The Delivery Of High-Quality Design Solutions That Meet Business Goals.
3. Present Design Concepts And Strategies To Stakeholders, Utilizing Tools Such As Cad Software And Simulation Tools For Effective Communication And To Gather Actionable Feedback.
4. Establish And Maintain Dfm Standards, Guidelines, And Best Practices, Ensuring Consistency And Quality Across All Design Projects.
5. Stay Updated On Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies Related To Dfm, Leveraging This Knowledge To Drive Innovation And Improve Design Processes.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Knowledge Of Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles And Practices.
2. Proficiency In Pcb Design Tools And Cad Software.
3. Solid Understanding Of Component Engineering And Its Integration Into The Design Process.
4. Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills For Stakeholder Engagement.
5. In-Depth Analytical Skills For Evaluating Design Concepts Against Manufacturing Capabilities.Certification
