      Job Responsibilities

      The Hardware / Control Designer is responsible to design systems of electrical and fluid controls for a variety of applications.

      Main areas of responsibilities are:

      • Design systems of electrical and fluid controls for a variety of applications including welders, robots, assembly, conveyance, and transfer systems.
      • Apply knowledge, principles and techniques in engineering and computer science to generate the required hardware design schematics.
      • Develop software system programming and documentation
      • Design circuit diagrams, interconnections, tools and grippers, BOMs, spare and long lead parts lists.

      • Controls architecture definition
      • Controls understanding of industrial equipment and machinery
      • ECAD, EPLAN
      • Design for manufacturing and assembly
      • Design for installation / commissioning
      • Networking and communication (Ethernet-based and fieldbus)
      • Pneumatic logic
      • Safety and risk assessment analysis
      • Safety standards and norms
      • Technical reports creation
      • Value analysis, design to cost
      • Change management

      Qualifications

      • Education: t echnical studies in engineering, automation or controls.
      • Previous experiences related to the automation industry
