      Job Description:

      We are seeking a skilled Desktop System Specialist to join our team in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of end-user computing equipment and peripherals at corporate locations. This role involves working on diverse assignments, analyzing data and hardware, and acting as a key point of contact to drive problem resolution.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide onsite operational and technical support to Authorized Users.
      • Contribute expertise to strategic Global Resilience, Security, and Transformation (GRST) projects.
      • Resolve incidents and problems with end-user computing (EUC) equipment.
      • Perform reactive troubleshooting to prevent future incidents.
      • Assist users in connecting to corporate networks and accessing LAN, WAN, print, and file services.
      • Repair and maintain mobile devices.
      • Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals).
      • Provide software break/fix services and replace non-warranty assets.
      • Ensure network connectivity for printers and scanners.
      • Offer VIP support for various equipment and technologies.
      • Utilize problem management databases to track and report customer calls and requests.
      • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical teams and customers.
      • Provide onsite and remote support as needed.
      • Define global solutions and policies.

      Required Skills:

      • Proficiency in Windows 10, networking, TCP/IP, LAN, and technical support.
      • Strong communication and presentation skills.
      • Knowledge of GRST infrastructure, global security policies, and data backup.
      • Experience in installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 11.
      • Ability to lead projects and work independently.

      Preferred Skills:

      • Experience with Windows 7, CompTIA, operations, scanners, databases, and maintenance.
      • Expertise in network connectivity, problem resolution, and printers.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, global security, data backup, and mobile devices.

      Education and Certifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
      • At least 2 years of desktop support experience preferred.
      • Certifications: CompTIA A+, MCSA (Windows 7 and 10), MCSE (Desktop Infrastructure).
