- Receive inbound work requests via email, telephone, walk-up or ticketing system. Responds to tickets in a professional and timely fashion, ensuring the maximum ‘up time’ possible for both virtual and physical workstation systems.
- First line troubleshooting of technology problems (hardware and software) including those both located on premise and remote.
- Create/ update/ deploy computer images for streamlining the new computer build process.
- Analyze and solve common and complex computer problems through reasoning. Ability to communicate technical information to all levels of end-users, both orally and in written format.
- Display excellent customer service skills with every interaction.
- Prepare desktop/ laptop/ thin client hardware maintenance, part replacements, etc.
- Update email distribution groups and AD security groups.
- Perform desktops/ laptops/ tablets/ thin clients for deployment to all business units including both on premise and remote WFH locations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
- Experience working in a technology-support role highly preferred.
- 2+ years in Helpdesk/Desktop Support preferred.
- A+ Computer and Network + certifications preferred.
- Microsoft Desktop Support certifications (MCDST, MCSA) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Technology related discipline or equivalency preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) preferred.
- Working knowledge of joining computers to network domains, maintaining permissions/right preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Desktop hardware including thin clients performing installation, upgrades and maintenance preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills required.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills required.

This position must be worked at our Global Contact Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Desktop Technician performs the installation, maintenance and administration of all desktops, thin clients, and laptop computers, as well as printers, monitors, projectors and other audio-visual equipment. They’ll also provide first tier end user support responding to requests via Microsoft Teams IM, telephone, email and centralized ticketing system. The Desktop Technician writes, maintains, and updates hardware/software documentation necessary to build or rebuild computer systems and/or application installation procedures. They also manage end user Active Directory account administration.
