Work as part of a collaborative DevOps team providing ongoing technical support and improvements across all Forrester applications and infrastructure. This includes production and pre-production environments ensuring the necessary SLAs are met regarding a system’s availability, performance, and reliability.
Collaborate with various team members from across the organization, primarily in the technology management and product divisions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps implementation processes and tools to achieve greater security, efficiency, and maintainability.
Participate in all stages of infrastructure provisioning, from POC to production launch and support.
Assist with the implementation of security best practices and initiatives at all levels of the systems infrastructure.
Adhere with SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) principles and pillars.
Ensure maximum uptime and stability of cloud and on-premises environments, including production, staging, testing, and development environments.
Apply the latest OS and security patches ensuring the compatibility of underlying running application.
Participate in the disaster recovery and business continuity (DRBC) routine exercises.
Handle help desk and JIRA tickets and mitigate any production issues.
Ensure accurate knowledge base documentation in a timely manner.
Manage and optimize unified logging system and APM (Application Performance Management) monitoring tools and constantly reduce the MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery).
Provide 24/7 mission-critical production support – including being available for on-site issue remediation as necessary.

Working with secure web app deployments;
Working on Linux distributions including CentOS or Ubuntu;
Using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Jenkins, Git and Github;
Demonstrating knowledge of web application programming languages including Java (SpringBoot framework), JavaScript or NodeJS;
Working collaboratively with various applications development teams throughout the organization to resolve problems;
Demonstrating familiarity with the interaction among applications and search engines, in-memory data store (Redis) and messaging systems including ActiveMQ or Kafka;
Participating in the design and execution of all levels of automated testing, including unit, functional, load and performance including integration with the CI process; and
Using artifact repositories including Nexus and code scanning tools including SonarQube to find bugs and vulnerabilities.
Working with containerized Microservices delivered with OpenShift or Kubernetes;
Working with Application Performance Management (Dynatrace or Datadog) and Monitoring tools (SumoLogic) and proactive incident management (PagerDuty);
Scripting skills using Shell or Python; and
Designing, building, maintaining, migrating, tuning, administering, supporting, and solving problems in complex applications environments.
