United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) is looking for ambitious junior developers interested in growing their career in a fast paced fun environment. We are launching the next iteration of our software development training program known as our Development Experience (Dev-X) Program that will teach you how to hone the skills you learned so far to enable you to write high quality code at UWM. You will have the opportunity to be taught by some of the best developers in the area from the largest wholesale mortgage lender in the country. We will teach you how to code the UWM way, while getting hands on development experience working on projects that make an impact on the future of the company.

This program will prepare you to be placed on an application development team as an Associate Software Developer.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Train in a classroom environment on the basics of application development at UWM
• Strengthening your knowledge of the .NET framework
• Introduction to testing strategies and automation tools
• Learn industry standard application development processes
• Work in a team environment on a project to improve the company
• Present your completed project to UWM Leadership

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

• Experience using C# or Java to write full-stack software
• Clear understanding of Object Oriented Programming
• Experience querying relational databases to retrieve and modify data
• Good communication skills
• Experience with Unit Testing
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to receive and apply feedback

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with MVC, HTML 5 or CSS
• Experience working in a paired programming environment
• Experience collaborating on group projects
• Ability to mentor others
