      Job Summary:

      The Middle Donor Program (MDP) team falls under the Individual Giving department within CRS’ Charitable Giving division. The MDP team oversees the cultivation, engagement, and stewardship of donors giving $1,000 - $25,000 annually to CRS. The Officer will serve as a key member of the MDP team and report to the Director of the Middle Donor Program team. They will oversee a portfolio of donors who they will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding. They will contribute to the overall MDP team goals related to donor engagement and relationship management, donor pipeline development and diversification, and raising unrestricted funds.

      The Officer will serve as the primary liaison for donors in their portfolio and move these donors from a transactional to a relational donor experience. In collaboration with other Charitable Giving teams, they will ensure a high-quality donor experience and work to diversify the pipeline of donors for CRS.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Cultivate relationships with an assigned portfolio of 200-300 donors to understand their philanthropic interests and develop individualized cultivation strategies.
      • Personally engage donors via individual communication – phone, email and face-to-face visits.
      • Qualify a pool of existing donors to expand current portfolio and build donor pipeline.
      • Solicit donors for gifts with a focus on retaining or increasing their unrestricted giving to CRS.
      • Maintain accurate records of donor outreach and solicitation in fundraising CRM.
      • Identify leads for Planned Giving and Leadership Giving (major gifts) Teams.
      • Work with other members of the MDP team to develop donor engagement strategies, including digital, direct mail, and individual donor portfolio management.
      • Build and reinforce a culture of excellence, collaboration, and learning.
      • Stay abreast of professional trends and issues affecting this set of responsibilities and demonstrate continuous learning in the field.
      • Meet or exceed annual metrics for donor contact and revenue.
      • Incorporate key Charitable Giving three-year action plan initiatives and CRS’ new strategy into donor communications. (Cultivating Future Generations of Donors, Operational Excellence, and Deepening Donor Relationships)

      Qualifications

      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree, required.
      • 5+ years of related work experience, required.
      • Experiencing cultivating donors and soliciting gifts, preferred.
      • Master’s degree in related discipline, preferred.
      • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
      • Ability to represent CRS, and confident public speaker.
      • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Systems and fundraising CRM.
      • Creative, self-motivated, and self-directed.

      Environment:

      • Full-time telecommuting/home office.

      Travel:

      • Up to 20% travel may be required for donor visits, CRS HQ meetings, or for professional development opportunities.
