      This is a general posting for a DevOps Cloud Engineer role we have open in various groups/locations in our IT divisions across the company.

      What You’ll Work On

      • Continuously analyzing service data to identify service improvement opportunities.

      • Developing, or partnering with other teams to develop automation and deliver a more reliable, cost-effective service to the company.

      • Continue to watch our system capacity and performance.

      • Work as part of a team of software and systems engineers on projects oriented towards improving the availability, reliability and efficiency of the global infrastructure services that run Abbott's critical applications.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

      • 2 Years’ experience in DevOps

      • Experience in Object Oriented Programming ideally in Java with Spring Boot or in one of the following: C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, C, C++, etc.

      • Experience with version control

      • Familiarity with databases and data analysis

      • Experience with server (Windows and/or Unix and/or Linux) operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls), and/or with networking and/or storage systems.

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Exposure to frontend development and related frameworks will be considered an advantage.

      • Familiarity and/or experience working in an Agile environment,

      • Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g. Github Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, etc).

      • Working experience in a major cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform will be considered an advantage.

      • Familiarity with infrastructure e-as-code (IaC) frameworks such as CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation

      • Exposure to Ansible

      • IT experience in a Healthcare organization in the USA

      The base pay for this position is

      $92,800.00 – $185,600.00

      In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
