      What you’ll do:

      We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about working with cloud related technologies on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

      Reporting into the Engineering Chapter, In DLG, DevOps Engineers combine software and systems engineering disciplines to build and run large-scale, fault-tolerant systems so that users' overall happiness with features, service, and performance is optimised.

      • Manage platforms that support our Java/Python based commercial and risk applications that have been built on AWS (EC2/Fargate/EKS)
      • Code in Shell, Python, Java, CloudFormation and Terraform and peer reviewing pull requests
      • Design, and iteratively improving SDLC and CI/CD technologies
      • Provide engineering level on call support, solving real-world, conducting Blameless Post-mortems, then creating and implementing technical solutions to mitigate reoccurrence
      • Build operational runbooks, streamlining procedures, and automating routine tasks
      • Research new technologies and architectural patterns by conducting technical Proof of Concepts (PoC) and propose improvements to existing platforms as well as migration from legacy systems
      • Define DevOps Engineering standards
      • Work with other subject areas including, functional and non-functional testing, security, and operations, to design, build and operate highly resilient and secure solutions
      • Contribute to the product roadmap
      • Mentor and support the career development of DevOps engineers in our engineering chapter
      • Work in an Agile and regulated environment
      • Contribute to improving our intra by rethinking and simplifying our current setup.

      What we are looking for:

      • AWS – Depth and Breadth of knowledge and experience. Including Serverless (Lambda, Stepfunctions, etc), S3, EC2, ECS, VPC and Networking Technologies like TGW, Route 53, Event Driven Architecture, Cloud Watch Metrics/Logs/Events. As well as AWS Organisation and AWS Landing Zone / AWS ControlTower
      • Grounding in Security best practises in AWS/Cloud including: SCPs, IAM, and least privilege, Encryption in transit & at rest, separation of duty in automation.
      • Hands on experience of hybrid cloud configurations
      • Programming Languages: Proficiency of Java and/or Python both scripting and OO design and implementation. Including TDD & BDD, and knowledge of core Cloud SDKs (Boto3)
      • Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation/CDK or Terraform.
      • Amplifying feedback loops and increase the frequency - through automation
