  We are hiring a Software Engineer, Infrastructure, to join our team located in San Francisco, California.
  
  As The Software Engineer, Infrastructure, You Will
  
  

  • Ensure that the development, deployment, and operation of software and systems are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Set up servers, configure networks, and manage cloud infrastructure
  • Support the testing and deployment of software by setting up and managing the test environment, configuring deployment pipelines, and ensuring that software releases are smooth and reliable
  • Maintain documentation on infrastructure and systems, including procedures and policies
    
    

  Essential Qualifications For This Position Include
  
  

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Professional work experience as a Software Engineer, Infrastructure
  • Ability to operate infrastructure as code, such as Terraform
  • Ability to set up and manage monitoring tools
  • Ability to work with web applications deployments and AWS cloud deployments
  • Ability to automate operational tasks such as deployment, testing, and monitoring (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and K8s)
  • Knowledge of the following tools: Docker, Grafana, and Github Actions
    
    

  Preferred Qualifications For This Position Include
  
  

  • Ability to manage production on multiple cloud systems
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and the development of AI-driven features and models
  • Prior professional work experience in a start-up organization
    
    

  This is a hybrid work opportunity and our teams operate from the San Francisco office located on Third and Mission Street at least 4 (four) days per week. State Affairs offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package to employees.
  
  The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $138,000 - $176,000 for candidates working from the State Affairs office in San Francisco, California. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with State Affairs.
