      POSITION TITLE

      Dewey Plant - Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Experienced / Senior

      POSITION OVERVIEW

      The Senior E&I Technician plays a lead role in diagnosing, maintaining , and upgrading the plant’s electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. This technician provides critical technical support for plant reliability and safety, and serves as a knowledge resource for the broader maintenance team.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Lead troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical and control systems, including DCS, PLC, and instrumentation networks.

      • Perform and document preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

      • Install, calibrate, and verify performance of instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, and level).

      • Maintain Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), MCCs, VFDs, and networking infrastructure.

      • Support planning and execution of electrical projects and shutdowns.

      • Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices.

      • Ensure all activities align with OSHA, NFPA, and Milliken safety standards.

      QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

      • Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical/instrumentation maintenance experience in a plant environment.

      • Strong background in process control systems, loop troubleshooting, and electrical safety.

      • Proven experience with electrical equipment up to 600V, motor controls, and power distribution systems.

      • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.

      QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

      • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry.

      • NFPA 70E certification (current).

      • Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License.

      • Certified Electrical Safety Technician (CEST) or Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) credentials.

      • Experience with PLC/DCS platforms including DeltaV, Siemens, Modicon, Profibus, or Serial Modbus.

      • Advanced knowledge of ladder logic and safety control programming.

      • CMRT (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician) certification.

      • Thermography Level II or Vibration Analysis Level II certification.

      • Familiarity with job planning, work order prioritization, and spare parts systems.
