      Band 6 - Diabetes Nurse

      £42,939 - £50,697 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata

      37.5 hours/week - Full time /Part time/Job Share

      This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the multi-disciplinary Diabetes Service with Bromley Healthcare, based at Beckenham Beacon.

      It is an opportunity for someone with an enthusiasm for diabetes and a wish to extend their knowledge in this field. The successful candidate will work alongside and be supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including Consultants, Diabetes Specialist Nurses and Dietician.

      The post will include responsibility for a mixed caseload, including people with Type 2 and support to develop of skills in managing patients with Type 1 diabetes. They will be involved in the development of the Diabetes Service within Bromley Healthcare and will need to show empathy and sensitivity to the needs of the patients, have good communication skills, together with a friendly, polite and professional attitude.

      The successful candidate will need to be confident in delivering education to groups and ideally have experience of structured educations programmes e.g. DESMOND. They will need excellent clinical, organisational, IT and communication skills. This post is only suitable for applicants with knowledge and clinical experience in Diabetes

      Car driver essential.
