  Job Description Diesel Mechanic / Technician - Keep Our Fleet Moving Looking for a full-time diesel mechanic job near you? Hours: Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. What You'll Do: Competitive pay making $33.10-$35.30/hour, based on how long you're on the clock, not just how many hours you spend fixing an issue Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our modern, low-mileage fleet of Volvo and Freightliner trucks (Cummins, Volvo, and Detroit engines) Work on tractors, trailers, Tico yard trucks and Toyota and Mitsubishi forklifts Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair Handle electrical systems, tire maintenance, brake and air conditioning system repair, and minor transmission repairs Enjoy a clean, organized, and well-equipped shop environment 4-day work weeks available at select locations Experienced or newly trained - all diesel techs are welcome Perks & Benefits You'll Love: Competitive Pay & Raises Competitive pay with frequent performance reviews - every 90 days $2,500 Tool Bonus for qualified mechanics $1,250 after 90 days, $1,250 after 180 days Paid Time Off & Holidays PTO plus 8 paid holidays annually Industry-Leading Insurance (Starts After 30 Days) Medical, dental, vision, hearing, and prescription coverage Individual plans starting as low as $38.25/week Family plans starting as low as $101.10/week Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability And That's Not All - More Tools for Success Uniforms provided and professionally cleaned Monthly profit-sharing contributions to your retirement Referral bonuses- get rewarded for bringing great people on board Why Join Averitt?
