      Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team as a Lead Dietitian for SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, located for more than 100 years in Missouri’s State Capital. This 150- bed community hospital has a rich history and is of vital importance in providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.

      Benefits:

      The successful candidate will:

      • Be responsible for splitting their work time 50% direct patient care and 50% management responsibilities with a strong emphasis on regulatory readiness.
      • Manage the inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition programs.
      • Provide nutrition care to a variety of patient units along with outpatient care.
      • Advocate to expand and promote the role of Clinical Nutrition throughout the facility.
      • Help to standardize and systemize policies and procedures with strong collaboration with other Clinical Managers in the SSM system.
      • Meet all Regulatory Guidelines including: Sodexo/Joint Commission/CMS/state/federal and company standards.
      • Have a track record of proactive interaction with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams, be an outstanding team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
      • Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment.
      • Proactively seek out and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders that is integral to moving efforts of the department forward
      • Assist in driving Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects.

      • Adult and outpatient experience preferred.

      • Have experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and review, and establishing and maintaining standards of care.

      Qualifications & Requirements

      Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master’s degree)

      Basic Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision

      Basic Functional Experience: 3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty

      Credentials Requirement:

      • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR);
      • certification/ licensure as required by state(s) of practice; specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable
