- To provide a dietetic service to an allocated workload of inpatients and outpatients at Derriford Hospital and Community sites and maintain accurate records under the supervision of a senior dietitian.
- To participate in the teaching and training of other health care professionals.
- To be involved in all Nutrition and Dietetic departmental activities and contribute to the delivery of a Trust wide dietetic service
- Provide a high standard of dietetic service to patients through comprehensive assessment, planning, and monitoring of patient requirements using evidence-based practice.

- Communicate accurately in writing and/or verbally with other health professionals. Record all assessments and interventions in clinical notes, nursing notes and dietetic record cards in line with BDA guidelines.

Job summary
University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust are recruiting for a Rotational Band 5 Dietitian.
This post would suit either student dietitians or experienced Band 5 dietitians. There is an option to start as a band 3/4 whilst you wait for your HCPC registration.
Rotational dietitians work within the acute and community dietetic teams. Rotations will provide the opportunity to work within a wide range of specialties including community, oncology, gastroenterology, paediatrics, renal and the newly created major trauma ward.
Band 5 dietitians will work closely within an established dietetic team and work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, caterers and therapists to deliver dietetic care to patients.
The successful applicants will be required to develop and take part in staff teaching, student training and support the team in audit and service developments.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
