      JOB TITLE: Digital & Social Media Manager (People & Places)

      SALARY: £56,421 - £74,290 (dependant on location)

      LOCATION(S): London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds

      HOURS: Full-time

      WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least

      two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

      The Digital & Social Media team runs the Group website and social media channels - the shop windows into our corporate brand. The main goal of the team is to bring our strategy, purpose and values to life in the most relevant and creative way, to improve the Group’s reputation. We partner with teams across Group Corporate Affairs to unearth stories and use our skill and expertise to tell them across our channels.

This role provides an opportunity for someone to immerse themselves in a part of the business that is inspiring change. The person in this role will be responsible for all digital and social communications, which demonstrate how our people are key to helping us increase the pace and performance of what we deliver to our customers.

      Responsibilities

      • Works closely with our P&P business partners and becomes immersed in this area as the team and technical authority on our P&P strategy, purpose and goals.

      • Owns and handles the strategy, delivery, and measurement of all digital and social media comms for P&P.

      • Responsible for using innovative thinking, creativity and technical awareness to use the right channels and formats to tell our stories.

      • Will work closely with wider team to help activate the content plans and strategies for P&P. This person will need to collaborate.

      • Responsible for guiding and managing agency partners with best-practice.

      • Will brief in and manage feedback through the in-house Creative Studio to bring ideas to life.

      • Responsible for making sure content output is of high quality and aligns with our broader Group narrative and objectives.

      • Challenges constructively, driving real purpose to our communications output and performance.

      • Continuously develops and grows by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities

      • Works with the analytics managers to measure performance and understand the impact, using the findings to constantly test, learn and adapt to influence future communications

      • Establishes and maintains effective networks of contacts across the GCA, P&P and beyond

      What you’ll need

      • Passion and strong technical social media knowledge: You are passionate about social media, knowing how to develop and oversee content strategies and campaigns which are innovative, meets P&P objectives and speaks to our audience. You'll be proficient in measurement and able to evaluate to evolve. You'll also have experience of implementing paid campaigns, or handling paid agencies.

      • Website knowledge: Experience of working within a CMS and basic knowledge of all things content and SEO. You'll possess some familiarity with website user experiences and best practice

      • Build relationships and rapport: must be able to build strong stakeholder relationships at all levels – namely with the P&P team - creating a positive relationship with two-way information sharing, and a collaborative approach to solving problems or navigating obstacles

      • The ability to deliver under pressure: being communicative, calm and adaptable under pressure is important in the fast-paced digital world

      • Confidence with senior stakeholders: our team has touchpoints with senior leaders in GCA and beyond, as the channel experts we're often called upon to educate and influence upwards so being comfortable presenting is key

      • Channel knowledge: The awareness and nuances of how to create and engage on different across digital channels
