      Primary Purpose:

      Curate, share, schedule, and publish digital content on social media platforms. Write and edit digital content and storytelling including blog posts and social captions. Identify and share digital content that aligns with the Temple ISD’s digital content strategies.

      Qualifications:

      Education/Certification:

      Bachelor’s degree in communications preferred.

      Special Knowledge/Skills:

      Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

      Experience with Hootsuite platform, knowledge/proficiency with website

      Proficiency with graphic design, word processing, and presentation software

      Demonstrated skill in writing, proofreading, editing and desktop publishing

      Strong customer service skills

      Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

      Ability to meet established deadlines while managing multiple projects

      Major Responsibilities and Duties:

      1. Coordinate and schedule social media posts through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
      2. Maintain weekly/monthly district and campus event calendar for media and department scheduling purposes, attend board meetings and district events as needed.
      3. Be a visible presence on all TISD campuses by attending various district and campus events, including after-hour functions.
      4. Serve as a liaison between the communications department, campus webmasters, and social media managers.
      5. Assist with campus websites and social media accounts as needed.
      6. Assist with content, production, and distribution of Ott’s Outlook and Wildcat Weekly
      7. Assist with selection and recognition of alumni spotlight, Friends of TISD, and Superintendent Leadership Award.
      8. Assist Executive Director of Communications with OCR Web Compliance.
      9. Provide photo and video content for district digital platforms.
      10. Assist and support press box operations at home varsity football games
      11. Other duties as assigned.

      Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer, laptop, iPad and digital camera

      Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

      Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

      Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds)

      Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide travel

      Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
