- A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position with the correct endorsement
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions
- The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
- The ability to work harmoniously with others
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
- The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
- Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
- Possess and maintain a current CPR and First Aid card
- Demonstrate a strong command of the physical skills necessary to teach a variety of sports, games, and activities
- Teaching License in Art is preferred
- Applicants must be proficient in using digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Canva EDU

GENERAL DUTIES:
The Teacher promotes and develops successful learning for students, performs instructional and related duties in accordance with District policies and terms of the teacher contract. The Teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents and students.
Physical education is an academic subject and, as such, demands the same education rigor as other core subjects. Physical education provides students with a planned, sequential, K-12 standards-based program of curricula and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors for active living, physical fitness, sportsmanship, self-efficacy and emotional intelligence.
