      I. Job Summary

      WM's Revenue Management department is currently seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-minded Business Analyst to contribute to the ongoing development of revenue optimization strategies, with a specific focus on GIS mapping. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Data & Analytics, the Business Analyst will closely collaborate with the GIS team and other business professionals to analyze and enhance spatial data, engage with internal stakeholders to provide progress updates and implement necessary changes, and proactively address inquiries and troubleshoot issues in real time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional time management skills, self-motivation, and a strong aptitude for cross-functional teamwork.

      II. Duties and Responsibilities

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.

      Acts as a liaison between technical staff and business owners.

      Coordinates with users to determine and document business and user requirements, process flow definitions, and functional specifications.

      Responsible for document repositories, maintenance and updates of project documentation library.

      Assists project team with gaining business user acceptance.

      Reviews progress and evaluates results for accuracy and efficiency.

      Collect, process, evaluate, organize, manage, and analyze data to support the integration into GIS environments.

      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage expertise and achieve objectives.

      Analyze, clean, and manage large datasets to support revenue analysis.

      Prepare formal presentations to deliver findings to the team and stakeholders.

      Maintain shared drive folders, organize and save important documents for team review.

      Demonstrate creativity through storytelling and presentation of data.

      Create and maintain documentation of workflow processes.

      Manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

      Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

      Understand timelines and key inputs for successful project execution.

      IV. Qualifications

      The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

      A. Education and Experience

      Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.

      Experience: Three years of prior work experience as an Business Analyst (in addition to education requirement).

      B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

      None required.

      C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

      Intermediate knowledge or skills in one or more of the following is required:

      Communication skills

      Proficient in Excel.

      Interest in learning GIS technology and data visualization software.

      Interest in learning how to write SQL queries.

      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

      Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

      Proficient in Excel and experienced in data analysis.

      Attention to detail and ability to work with large Excel datasets.

      Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.

      Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

      Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
