- Manage and lead the continuous improvement of the trusts website and intranet by working with our external providers, within the framework of our contracts with them, to ensure the sites are well maintained and functioning well.
- Analyse Google Analytics for the website and intranets to provide up-to-date advice and knowledge to the communications team and the Communications Manager (visual identity, website and intranet, patient information) about how the sites are functioning and how they can be improved.
- Provide training, support and advice to colleagues and services across the trust to ensure they are appropriately represented on both the website and intranets and that content is appropriate for the relevant audiences.
- Update, collate and edit content on the website and intranets in the form of text, stories, imagery and digital content on a regular basis in conjunction with the Head of Communications and other members of the communications team to ensure those digital channels remain fresh and relevant.
- Provide basic design support to the communications team.
- Understand and apply editorial and brand guidelines and relevant policies, and maintain a high standard for all content that is produced and published.

- Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent in computing/IT, or communications with additional experience in IT
- Experience in managing websites and intranets

- Experience in managing and developing websites/intranets to create a clear user journey
- Up-to-date knowledge on website accessibility guidelines and WACG 2.1 AA

Main duties of the job
As Digital Communications Officer, you'll manage the trust's website and intranet(s), providing technical knowledge and expertise to the rest of the team and colleagues across the trust, and play an important role in supporting the team in its outputs.
You'll work closely with colleagues developing content to ensure the website and intranet provide relevant and up-to-date information and tells the story of our trust, our colleagues and patients and will report to the Communications Manager (visual identity, website and intranet, patient information).
