As a Digital Content Intern, you’ll primarily work remotely with flexibility, but occasional in-person meetings may be required. You’ll need to stay responsive via email and be comfortable handling some quick-turnaround tasks (within 24 hours) when needed. This is a great opportunity to build real-world experience in a fast-paced, creative environment! Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

1 Qualifications:
The ideal L&S Digital Content Intern is a strong visual storyteller with a creative mindset and a positive attitude. They have a knack for creating content their peers can relate to, and are comfortable editing short-form videos and designing eye-catching graphics. Successful candidates will also demonstrate: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE:
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, and audience engagement techniques
Familiarity with content management systems, branding guidelines, and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights)
SKILLS:
Proficient in video editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro), graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and social content creation
Excellent written and visual storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and consistency
Effective communicator with strong time management and organizational skills
ABILITIES:
Ability to create relatable, on-brand content for student audiences across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
Ability to work independently, meet quick turnaround deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to stay up to date on campus culture, trends, and digital engagement best practicesPosition Summary/Job Duties:
Digital Content Intern responsibilities include:
Creating and posting engaging weekly content to Instagram Grid, Stories, and Reels that excites current followers and attracts new ones
Designing on-brand graphics to complement social media posts, aligned with the overall UW–Madison visual identity
Capturing photos and videos that showcase the UW–Madison student experience for use on social platforms
Exploring new social media strategies and pitching fresh, creative ideas to boost engagement
Interacting with followers to build a sense of community and foster meaningful engagement
Assisting with analytics reporting to track performance and help shape future content strategy
Researching and identifying potential digital influencers who can support and amplify our campaigns and missionPhysical Demands:
