- Develop and execute digital content strategies for web, mobile and social platforms
- Champion a multi-platform newsroom model through leadership and example
- Drive audience engagement by managing and growing our social media presence
- Pitch original, on-brand stories in daily editorial meetings
- Shoot, write, edit and produce compelling content for broadcast and digital use
- Write clean, accurate web copy using AP style
- Build digital campaigns that promote station projects and special coverage
- Collaborate with anchors, producers and reporters to shape daily news coverage
- Balance breaking news with enterprise storytelling
- Monitor and post timely updates and video content to digital channels
- Represent the station positively in online viewer interactions
- Stay calm under pressure and adjust quickly to breaking news scenarios
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong writing and editing skills with fluency in AP style
- Experience with web CMS, social media management and digital publishing
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, basic HTML and video editing preferred
- Prior experience in a newsroom or fast-paced content environment
- Organized, collaborative and comfortable working across departments
- Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
