      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Digital Engineer to design, configure, and implement AspenTech DGM solutions, including SCADA, EMS, ADMS, Chronos, and DERMS. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions, integrating AspenTech DGM products with existing IT and OT systems. This role involves developing and executing system testing, validation, and commissioning activities, as well as providing technical support, troubleshooting, and training for end-users. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and project managers, is essential. The candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity best practices while documenting system configurations, workflows, and technical procedures. This position requires up to 25% travel to customer sites.

      Responsibilities

      • Design, configure, and implement AspenTech DGM solutions, including SCADA, EMS, ADMS, Chronos, and DERMS.
      • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and develop tailored solutions.
      • Integrate AspenTech DGM products with existing IT and OT systems.
      • Develop and execute system testing, validation, and commissioning activities.
      • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for end-users.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and project managers.
      • Ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity best practices.
      • Document system configurations, workflows, and technical procedures.

      Essential Skills

      • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
      • 3+ years of experience working with SCADA, EMS, ADMS, or DERMS solutions.
      • Proficiency in one of the following: AspenTech DGM Monarch, OSI Monarch.
      • Strong understanding of power systems, grid operations, and utility workflows.
      • Experience with RTU communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and IEC61850.
      • Knowledge of database management and scripting (SQL, Python, or PowerShell).
      • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in industrial control systems.
      • Comfortable using both Linux and Windows based operating systems.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with cloud-based grid management solutions and IoT technologies.
      • Certifications related to SCADA/EMS/DMS systems.
      • Experience with virtualization, containerization, and modern IT architectures.
      • Understanding of regulatory requirements for power system operations.
      • NERC CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection) certification.

      Work Environment

      This is a 100% remote position, but candidates must be located within 3 hours of one of our offices in the following locations: Aurora, OH; Dublin, OH; Holly Springs, NC; Peachtree City, GA; Portage, MI; Thousand Oaks, CA; Carlsbad, CA; Westborough, MA; Houston, TX; Oaktree Terrace, IL; Minneapolis, MN (tied to the Chicago office); San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ (tied to the CA office). The role requires travel to the office roughly once a month. The department currently consists of 40 engineers based in Houston, TX and Aurora, OH, and is rapidly growing, with plans to expand to 100 people. The end customers are electric utilities companies.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
