      Job Title: Digital Forensic Lab Technician
      Location: San Jose, CA
      Duration: 3 month.
      Pay Rate: $40.08/Hour
      Contract Type: W2 only

      Responsibilities:
      • As a member of the Litigation team, you will preserve, collect, track, and process data to support litigation matters and investigations.
      • You will work closely with in-house Legal, Information Technology and Cyber Defense teams, & outside counsel, and forensics and e-discovery vendors.

      Daily tasks may include:
      • Work with IT and business units to track devices and evidence belonging to individuals on legal hold
      • Gather, decrypt, and forensically image laptops, desktops, and other devices
      • Collect data from wikis, M365, and other shared data sources
      • Perform searches and exports in Microsoft Purview
      • Document and track devices, forensic images and other collected data according to industry best practices
      • Maintain forensics lab hardware and software
      Education: CompTIA A+ certification, computer science degree, or equivalent experience.

      Required Skills
      • Cross-platform operating system (Win/Mac) knowledge
      • General knowledge of computer hardware
      • Knowledge of evidence preservation procedures and legal hold process
      • Knowledge of forensic imaging software (e.g., FTK Imager, Cellebrite, or other) is a plus
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Ability to follow instruction, complete assignments in a timely manner, and work cohesively within a team environment Must be well organized with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
