      Marketing Summer Intern

      We're in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Media Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience in digital retail marketing while contributing to the optimization of our shoppable video player and digital asset management tool. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital media, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. This intern will have access and contribute to catalog in years worth of footage and photographs detailing the amazing work being done at Hy-Vee.

      PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Tagging within Shoppable Video Player:
        • Assist in tagging products/services within shoppable video content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
        • Work closely with the marketing team to implement tagging conventions and optimize user experience.
        • Help monitor performance metrics and provide insights for tagging strategy refinement.
      • Digital Asset Management:
        • Support the organization and maintenance of digital assets within a digital asset management tool.
        • Learn to apply metadata, keywords, and descriptions to assets for improved searchability and retrieval.
        • Collaborate with team members to ensure assets are properly categorized and tagged for various campaigns.
        • Assist in leading trainings across departments.
      • Quality Assurance:
        • Learn to conduct quality assurance checks to ensure tagged content and digital assets meet established standards.
        • Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors in tagging and metadata.
      • Documentation and Reporting:
        • Assist in documenting tagging processes, best practices, and workflows for internal reference.
        • Assist in reviewing assets input by other departments and team members to ensure taxonomy is consistent and in compliance.
        • Gain experience in generating reports on tagging performance, asset usage, and trends.

      THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

      • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
      • Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously and adhere to multiple deadlines.
      • Ability to develop and maintain team relationships.
      • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
      • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

      MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:

      • Currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
      • Strong interest in digital marketing, digital preservation, content management, or digital asset management. (Video experience is a bonus.)
      • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in tasks.
      • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Knowledge of metadata and archival encoding standards and experience with cataloging standards and practices are preferred but optional.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
