      The Opportunity

      As a dedicated Digital Optimization Advisor Senior, you will apply advanced knowledge and experience in the design of statistically valid test hypotheses using web analytics data. Applies analytics tools to isolate and analyze subsets of data. Is committed to improving the site visitor experience as well as improving overall website conversion rate through A/B & Multivariate testing across multiple member digital experiences. Responsible for continuously analyzing online visitors’ behavior and site performance and then partner with business leads, creative, and IT to develop and execute effective and measurable tests. Leads continuous improvement and facilitates operational excellence in the planning, execution and delivery of programs and multi-track projects intended to accomplish strategic business goals and objectives.

      We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

      What you'll do:

      • Partners with direct supervisor to serve as primary point of contact for partners and stakeholders to define the business and digital testing requirements for moderately complex to complex optimization efforts.
      • Evaluates, plans, and organizes work and resources for the execution of digital testing solutions from concept to production release, accountable for meeting quality targets and achieving program and project milestones within established timeframes and budget.
      • Leads team meetings, rituals, and activities to keep digital optimization efforts on track and creates communications that provide insight on progress against key project deliverables, milestones, and metrics.
      • Monitors overall projects in assigned lines of business for issues or documented risk and oversees risk management by using established testing management processes address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and costs.
      • Applies advanced knowledge to identify obstacles and impediments with digital testing issues and implements sustainable resolutions; serves as an escalation point to team members on more complex cases.
      • Facilitates the alignment of stakeholders across projects, teams, and functions by identifying and responding to stakeholder needs and guides approvals with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
      • Manages testing research and contributes to the creation of digital testing solutions by generating ideas and creating digital testing artifacts informed by advanced knowledge in digital optimization process and methodologies.
      • Manages optimization solutions through appropriate quality and compliance controls and check points and provides knowledge to the development or continuous improvement of testing processes, procedures, standards and guidelines to advance organizational performance in the delivery of business value to members and employees.
      • Serves as a mentor to peers and oversees the efforts of team members.
      • Leverages business knowledge (products, processes, etc) and digital expertise to analyze, synthesize and/or interpret large quantities of information; creates models from multiple data sources and applies techniques such as path analysis, segmentation and campaign attribution. May synthesize and/or interpret large quantities of information to recommend solutions to business issues.
      • Maintains an advanced level knowledge of the competitive digital landscape and applies that knowledge to recognize business improvement opportunities.
      • Prepares reports, documentation and other written information to deliver key messages and provide insight to management.
      • Professionally responds to challenges; promoting a positive or constructive outlook.
      • Leads the interpretation of and reporting on trends and communicates these trends in actionable terms to decision makers in marketing, advertising sales, product development and product management.
      • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

      What you have:

      • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience beyond the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree (10 years without degree).
      • 6 years progressive experience in a business or technical function performing quantitative qualitative analysis to make data driven business recommendations.
      • 6 years of experience creating models from multiple data sources (e.g., digital internet, website, mobile) to analyze and derive recommendations to resolve business issues.
      • 4 years of experience using split-testing software such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, Monetate Maxymiser,or SiteSpect and/or 4 years experience using digital analytics software such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or Web Trends.
      • Strong understanding of re-engineering issues and challenges.
      • Effective Negotiation skills and solid communication and presentation skills.
      • Proven track record successfully delivering a superior digital experience and engagement strategy in the digital arena (web and mobile app); able to effectively collaborate front-end development teams; expertise in all key functional areas, including usability, UX, design, and information architecture.
      • Advanced knowledge of statistics and a wide variety of analytical tools.
      • Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
      • Ability to synthesize information for effective decision making.

      What sets you apart:

      • Demonstrated experience executing A/B or multivariate testing.
      • Demonstrated experience analyzing post-test results and delivering recommendations for digital optimization tests.
      • Proven ability to analyze and understand digital experience data using digital metric tools such as Adobe Analytics and Glassbox to identify opportunities to improve digital performance and make recommendations back to the business.
      • Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and prioritizing use cases to inform partner optimization testing roadmap.
      • Working knowledge of content management, personalization, digital marketing, and digital design practices.
      • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

      What we offer:

      Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $78,670 - $150,330.

      Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
