Job Description
- Req#: 17407
- Responsible for file preparation for offset POS material to be printed on the internal digital press along with any finishing requirements for each job.
- Job requires knowledge of page imposition and digital printing methods and procedures.
- Must have a broad knowledge of digital Prepress operations and technology plus an overall knowledge of printing technology and operations.
- Identify whether all information is present to produce jobs based on established print specifications.
- Responsible for the effective configuration, operation, and maintenance of the digital press systems and calibration.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and rules related to Information Security, Quality, and Environmental.
- Assist in other department functions such as platemaking and/or plate mounting operations as requested per job requirements and production needs.
- Knowledge of Commercial and/or Packaging printing industry
- Must have solid understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Design, Acrobat) and ESKO Automated Engine/Nexus Manager
- Basic computer and math skills required, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
- Must be able to navigate folders/files on the company network and enter data into basic databases
- Must possess strong English communication skills, including the ability to interact optimally one-on-one, draft and interpret written documents and forms, communicate via radio following established protocols, and correspond professionally through Microsoft
- Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically challenging environment

- PERF and Score Machine

The Digital Press Tech in Prepress works with the Prepress Manager to generate print-ready files using POS material.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $29,120 - $52,458. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
