- Supports transformation projects in various ways including project identification, scoping, valuing, planning, and implementing – inclusive of requirements gathering, data analysis, business case development, process mapping, and workshop facilitation.
- Supports efforts to streamline and redesign/reimagine business processes, leveraging a Lean / Six Sigma approach.
- Acts as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) development group and business units to effectively manage assigned projects. Communicates project-related objectives, processes, issues and status to leadership. Works with management and contracting companies to secure the required resources necessary.
- Develops and maintains project artifacts including but not limited to scope, schedule, budget, resource, stakeholder, and status documents.
- Seeks cross functional solutions and partners with IT to ensure strong collaboration throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Stays current on technologies and business processes related to the assigned projects. Generates recommendations on how to enhance the business processes with a focus on continuous improvement and transformation.
- Maintains relationships with suppliers and 3rd party application providers.
- Understands the data and how the business process’s function related to the project. Identifies and works with interfacing applications support groups on interface and data impacts.
- Works with the Change Readiness team to determine change impacts and key stakeholders, and identify items needed to ensure the business is ready for implementation.
- Periodically reviews the project processes and documentation. Keeps stakeholders informed of progress of efforts and issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience.
- 6 years of experience managing projects required
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering, business, or information technology role required
- Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
