Job Description
- Req#: 85935
- Prepare and log pathology glass slides into the laboratory information system (LIS).
- Perform quality control checks to ensure slide label accuracy and digital image quality.
- Identify and document any quality control issues according to departmental procedures.
- Ensure slides are free of overhanging labels, tape, or mounting medium that may interfere with scanning.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Support administrative tasks as assigned and during scheduled rotations.
- Note: This position does not require digital slide-level review.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior data entry experience is required (laboratory environment preferred).
- Experience in a Slide Library, Lab Accessioning, Lab Assistant role, or healthcare administrative setting is a plus.
- A collaborative, team-oriented professional committed to supporting patient-centered care.
- Detail-oriented and diligent, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- A proactive problem-solver who approaches challenges with urgency and enthusiasm.
