      Shopbop is seeking an experienced, versatile Digital Technician to support both our fast-paced product photography and editorial content teams at our Madison, WI studio. This hybrid role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end digital imaging workflow, maintaining color accuracy and brand standards, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving process improvements across both workstreams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial photography digitech work as well as experience with digital asset management systems and workflows.

      Key job responsibilities
      • Oversee the daily digital imaging workflow for product photography, handling 3,000+ files per day
      • Verify color accuracy and perform color corrections as needed to ensure brand consistency across all visual assets
      • Troubleshoot and resolve on-set technical issues with cameras, lighting, computers, software, etc. to minimize downtime
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Photography, Styling, Art Direction, Inventory, Marketing, etc.) to identify and address workflow inefficiencies
      • Utilize proprietary asset management systems to track and deliver product and editorial imagery on tight timelines
      • Support the ingestion, organization, and maintenance of the global digital asset management system
      • Develop and implement metadata schemas, taxonomies, and user permission structures for all visual assets
      • Coordinate with Marketing, CRM, Social, and International teams to address their digital asset needs
      • 2+ years of experience as a digital technician, photo assistant, or digitally-focused production role in a fast-paced commercial photography/editorial environment
      • Proficient with Capture One, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge), and large-scale digital asset management
      • Strong understanding of color profile management, color grading, and cross-device color consistency
      • Exceptional visual skills with strong understanding of color, light and composition
      • Strong understanding of color profile management policies and best practices, including the ability to color shift and manage multiple peripheral devices
      • Adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with photography/video equipment, computers, and software
      • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
      • Bachelors Degree
      • Experience with enterprise-level digital asset management systems (AEM, Workfront, Frame.io etc.)
      • Knowledge of metadata standards, taxonomy development, and digital asset lifecycle management
      • Familiarity with file conversions, encoding formats, and workflow automation
      • Background in scripting/programming (JavaScript, AppleScript, PowerShell, etc.)
      • Understanding of cloud-based storage/distribution technologies (Amazon S3, etc.)
      • Experience educating non-technical stakeholders on digital asset management practices
