      The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Associate Data Analyst is responsible for translating and programming vast amounts of data into understandable, relevant and actionable information. Interfaces with business units (finance, HR, etc.) across the the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. Provides business insights and designs and delivers reports. Critical to be actively engaged in developing and promoting effective data governance through documentation and adherence of standards to assure that the information produced and provided by the Analytics team is accurate and trusted as the source of truth.

      Responsibilities

      The day in the life of the Digital Technology Services (DTS) Associate Data Analyst at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

      • Responsible for acquiring, merging, and transforming data from a centralized data warehouse.
      • Translate data needs of the business to structure and provide recurring data extracts or develop custom solutions for a strategic problem.
      • Play an active role in the development, documentation and on-going maintenance of a data governance operation.
      • Develop effective auditing and validation processes between the source systems and the centralized data warehouse to assure accurate and timely availability of data.
      • Develop, test, and deliver reports and extracts from the centralized data warehouse using appropriate Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
      • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
      • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

      Qualifications

      Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

      • Bachelors degree in data science or related field, and/or applicable technical certificate and/or equivalent related experience.
      • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience working in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst role.
      • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite (i.e. Excel/Sheets).
      • Attention to detail and ability to think critically.
      • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
      • Ability to translate complex technical concepts.
      • A desire to learn and intellectually curious.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

      Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

      • Demonstrated skills in Coding (SQL) and Business Intelligence products (i.e. Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, QLik, etc.).
      • Healthcare system knowledge.
      • Experience with unstructured datasets.
      • Knowledge of the agile work process.
