  We are seeking a Dining Services Specialist to assist in the day-to-day operations of Modern Woodmen’s new dining room café at our home office located in Rock Island, IL. This individual will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards, fostering a positive environment and providing efficient and friendly service.

  Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety, sanitation, and hazard prevention requirements.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines.
  • Follow recipe and procedures to ensure consistent product quality and portions.
  • Prepare made to order beverages including coffee, energy drinks and smoothies, breakfast items, pastries, lunch items and made to order hot meals.
  • Operate point of sale system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Receive deliveries, including unloading trucks, stocking and sorting.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  What we need:

  • SERV Safe certifications preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1+ years of food service experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  What we offer:

  • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $19.00.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time on-site hourly position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday. On-site positions work at our Home Office in Rock Island, IL. Café hours of operation are 5:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Scheduled hours for this position will be 8:00am – 4:00pm. Based on workload requirements, schedule may vary.
