Our vision, leading the future of integrated electromagnetic spectrum superiority, fuels our curiosity and propels our teams to be thought leaders at developing, integrating and transitioning technologies and systems into operational capabilities.

We believe how we work is just as important as what we work on. Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world and maintain a healthy work/life balance. We put our customers first – exemplified by our mission: “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®.” Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.

The BATD leads and manages a team of product line technical directors that plan and deliver the technologies and system capabilities required for ongoing programs and future growth serving our customer’s mission capability needs. The BATD engages with customers to understand their mission needs and to shape customer’s future plans. • Architecture planning and governance across product families to maximize competitive advantage.

      • Collaborating across the business and externally to leverage technology for growth and performance.

      • Leading a team of direct report technical directors to develop and execute portfolio level technology and product strategies.

      • Ensuring a robust pipeline of next generation technical leaders through mentoring, coaching, and managed development assignments.

      • Planning and managing the Business Area Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolio for targeted technology development to enable growth and performance.

      • Capturing relevant Intellectual Property (IP) for the business and manage the CEMA IP portfolio.

      • Driving strategic alignment across our Sector and BAE Systems Inc to maximize overall growth and performance.

      • Collaborating with our, FAST Labs R&D, to capture priorities that meet CEMA technology needs.
