- Position directly reports to the WS Division Director of Contracts and Government Property
- Key business partner to the PS&C executive leadership, program management, business management and capture team leadership to drive innovative solutions, with speed and agility, to complex business scenarios.
- Champion a team of management and professionals responsible for contracts, business operations, and government property inclusive of its international business portfolios.
- Execute with speed and agility, contracting initiatives in support of the business financial objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience to include and in-depth understanding of Government acquisition policies, regulations and proposal compliance requirements.
- Strong technical contracts and/or government property experience background to include proposal development and negotiation skills.
- Ability to mentor and lead.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skill.
- Experience leading teams, including cross-functional/cross-organization teams.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
- 10 % travel time is required.
- US Citizenship required.
- Candidate to be seated in one of the respective business sites, Elkton, Maryland, Linthicum, Maryland, Ronkonkoma, New York, or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
- Proficiency in Government Property management.
- Proven experience in administering various contract types of varying sizes, inclusive of international contracting.
- Experience in operating across multiple ERP systems (Cost Point, and 1ERP).
- Proven ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, possessing solid written and verbal communication skills, to ensure team performance aligns to program objectives and compliance in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting Regulations with the ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships.

This position will be a direct report to the Director of Contracts & Government Property for WS Division. This position will be based in Elkton, Maryland. Candidate will also be considered in one of the respective business sites: Linthicum, Maryland, Ronkonkoma, New York, or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Through its Propulsion Systems and Control (PS&C) business portfolio, the Director of Contracts and Government Property (D1) leader will provide contractual and strategic leadership, as well as manage all contract and government property administration efforts. The business portfolios has a varied portfolio of Development, Production and Sustainment contracts of various contract types. This position requires regular interaction with executive management at the Business Unit, Division, Sector and Corporate levels, plus the customer base. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead an engaging team with a challenging portfolio of contract different contract types, develop highly effective customer relations (both internal and external stakeholders), possess excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
