      The Director, Regional Finance is responsible for facilitating meetings with the regional management team and conveying the corporate need for regional financial analysis and reporting. The incumbent is responsible for utilizing financial statement analysis, forecasting, backlog and staffing analysis, analysis of overhead spending, and capital investment analysis to support Company goals. The Dir, Regional Finance also supports the Sr Dir, Regional Finance in driving the DDS Equity, Doctor Ownership Percentage, and other financial data in regions.

      Responsibilities

      • Oversee the development of the annual business plan

      • Prepare and manage budget and budget variances, including developing an annual budget package with explanations, charts, graphs, and all other tools necessary to explain the budget and plan

      • Prepare capital budget via company procedures, and emphasis on both short- and long-term capital needs via evaluation, planning, and other analysis such as ROI

      • Identify and lead improvement in all areas by utilizing analysis tools. Convey strategies with department managers to solve cost issues and perform cost control

      • Achieve the monthly revenue and profit goals by evaluating expenses on an ongoing basis

      • Analyze, interpret, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance at all levels

      • Promote, communicate, and implement company-wide financial initiatives within the region

      • Recognize revenue, set reserves and review overhead charges for month and year-end closing activities and reporting for the region

      • Establish internal controls and audit expectations and avoid defalcation, oversee and have primary accountability for accuracy of fixed asset ledgers, and perform rate, account and market analysis

      • Act as an independent advisor to the business, managing and coordinating the relationship with external professional advisors (including auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel), on issues which present a financial, operational or compliance risk for the legal entity

      • Lead the preparation and audit of the statutory financial statements ensuring that the financial accounts are prepared in accordance with local GAAP, and that all supplementary books and records are maintained in accordance with local accounting and tax code requirements

      • Responsible for resource assessments, including recruitment, performance management, and development of talent to achieve organizational objectives

      • Other duties maybe assigned by the management

      Qualifications

      • Master's Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance, and 10+ years' work experience in the Accounting field with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. In lieu of degree, 12+ years of professional experience is required.

      • Knowledge of GAAP.

        If hired into a traveling position:

      • Director, Regional Finance must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Driver’s license must be verified by completing a background check and motor vehicle record check at the time of hire

      • Director, Regional Finance are required to timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day, and must have reliable means of transportation to travel to assigned offices

      • In lieu of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, Director, Regional Finance must have reliable means of alternate transportation which would allow for required, timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day

      • Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change without notice.

      Preferred

      • Experience with medical or dental businesses

      • CPA license

      • Familiarity with Oracle FMS and SQL a plus

      Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

      • Extensive knowledge of financial operations

      • Strong abilities in managing the daily operations of department(s) or work unit while developing long term (3-5 years) goals

      • Strong strategic thinking abilities to understand and process complex information and exercise sound judgement

      • Outstanding leadership skills; plus exceptional time management and prioritization abilities. Dedication to personal development and education

      • Well-organized and resourceful; effective and efficient at marshaling multiple resources to get things done

      • Attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on the bottom line; not afraid to initiate action before all the facts are known; drive to finish everything he/she starts

      • Ability to build trust with those requiring coaching, create a win/win need for change, and recognize and celebrate improvement to sustain change

      • Possesses "big picture" perspective and able to accomplish that through proper level of articulation across team

      Compensation Information


      $169,000.00-$227,000.00 / Annually
