      We are looking for a forward-thinking Director of Power and Controls Advanced Technology to lead our technology portfolio and drive innovation across Power and Controls. This leader will own the strategy and execution of technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with our seven strategic initiatives. As the central point of leadership, this role will guide both internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions that meet today’s customer needs and position us for future success.

      What You Will Do

      • Lead the Power Controls technology strategy, aligning it with key business goals and long-term growth plans.

      • Own and drive the technology roadmap, ensuring we deliver innovative, ready-to-launch solutions that support new programs and evolving customer needs.

      • Connect and align technology development across Collins Aerospace, RTX, and internal Power and Controls teams to maximize value and collaboration.

      • Drive breakthrough advancements in electrification, hybrid-electric systems, sustainability, and integrated solution s.

      • Coordinate global R&D efforts, bringing together teams from across all global RTX business sites and business units .

      • Engage directly with customers, offering a clear, forward-looking view of our technology capabilities and roadmap.

      • Provide expert insight and technology assessments .

      • Manage a multi-year technology budget, ensuring strong returns and measurable progress across all key initiatives.

      • Serve as a senior escalation point, working with leadership and partners to remove roadblocks and keep top-priority projects moving forward.

      Qualifications You Must Have

      • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience

      Qualifications We Prefer

      • Proven leadership in managing large-scale technology portfolios and roadmaps.

      • Strong understanding of electrification, hybrid-electric systems, sustainability, and integrated solutions.

      • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across global, matrixed organizations.

      • Excellent strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

      • Experience managing large budgets and ensuring ROI through technology maturation.

      The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
