- Partner with leaders across the team to understand all clinical, quality, patient safety, and BI/Data needs to support strategy planning, new initiatives, and ongoing operations.
- Leads and inspires a cross-functional team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals

- Provides guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, ensuring highperformance standards.
- Develop and maintain complex queries and reports using Epic Clarity/Caboodle and other relevant BI tools.
- Collaborate with the data governance team to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Champion data governance initiatives by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in healthcare data analytics and data governance.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the data warehouse and reporting infrastructure.
- Effectively communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Join with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights through reporting and analytics.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define and align the data strategy with overall business goals.
- Develops and executes a roadmap for implementing business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Oversees the design, development, and execution of data analytics projects to extract valuable insights.
- Utilizes statistical methods and data visualization techniques to present findings clearly and understandably to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drives the creation of dashboards and reports that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Identifies data gaps from downstream and upstream source systems.
- Develops operational & executive dashboards, reports, and tools to help monitor program growth and track the results of recommendations.
- Completes ad hoc requests for data and reporting needs
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Establishes and enforces data governance policies and standards to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security.
- Collaborates with IT and other departments to maintain and enhance data quality across the organization.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve structured data, data hygiene, and broader insights.
- Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify data governance needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Collaborate in the creation and implementation of data governance policies, procedures and standards.
- Define data quality metrics and monitor data quality through ongoing analysis and reporting.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and glossaries to ensure consistent and accurate data definitions.
- Participate in the design and development of data governance solutions and tools.
- Conduct data lineage analysis to understand the origin, flow, and transformation of data.
- Train and educate business users on data governance policies and best practices.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in data governance.
- Identify and document data risks and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on data governance initiatives and achievements.
- Works closely with key stakeholders, including but not limited to clinical areas, medical staff, finance, revenue cycle, operations, quality, marketing, and IT, to develop backend data sources that fuel reporting and query optimization.
- Fosters a data-driven culture by promoting the use of data in decision-making processes throughout the organization.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms that enhance the organization's data capabilities.
- Advanced technical skills with the experience to use strategic thinking to create and transform complex analyses into actionable insights, and lead data-driven solutions that improve the patient and family experience
- Self-motivated, independent problem solver who is highly analytical, experienced with data, and excited to drive results.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, especially in conveying complex financial findings to non-technical stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting, and financial modeling
- 5-7 years in business intelligence or analytical role supporting multiple stakeholders in a healthcare related field
- Advanced reporting and analytics, including but not limited to building reports, dashboards, and improving data integration to improve insights
- Experienced in reporting and dashboards, and working within ticketing systems.
- Experience working with large data sets, mapping data sets with other joint tables, and running data queries and tables
- Experience building efficient data pipelines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience building presentations and presenting findings to executive audience

Summary
The Director of Business Intelligence will support the team in the strategy, optimization, and reporting of new and ongoing initiatives. Provides a deep understanding of business intelligence, clinical and patient safety data, data analytics, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Partners with leadership and stakeholders to enrich our data infrastructure and develop innovative methods of measuring performance, leveraging data and analytics to drive quality data, clinical data, patient safety data, revenue, and increased efficiencies. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to harness the power of data to drive informed decisions and strategies and contributes to the organization's overall success.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
