The purpose of this position is to direct the day-to-day operations of the college campus including facilities maintenance, housekeeping, landscape and grounds maintenance, fleet management, and capital projects.This position is also responsible for overseeing all relevant compliance efforts including occupational health and safety. This is accomplished by supervising the Manager for Facilities and the Manager for Campus Operations who are responsible for the areas of capital and operational projects, facilities maintenance and facilities operations to include wastewater treatment management, vendor snow removal operations, and assisting with development of facilities master plan and capital program documents and proposals; coordinating design, construction, and maintenance activities. Assist with managing the annual capital budget and departmental operating budgets and engages peers and colleagues in regular communication with the intent of fostering an open dialogue and healthy exchange of ideas. The Director must demonstrate commitment to College’s mission, vision, and values through behaviors and work performance. Other duties include serving on College, state and county committees and tasks forces.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this positionAbout the company
