      Position Overview

      We are looking for a strategically minded and collaborative leader who is interested in a unique Chief of Staff opportunity supporting the Vice President (VP) of Production Management & Platform (PM&P) for Autodesk's Entertainment and Media Solutions Group (EMS). We ask that you are a resourceful, driven person with the ability to execute. The PM&P team consists of Product Management, Engineering and QA and leads product strategy and execution for Autodesk Flow, our Media & Entertainment industry cloud, and our Production Management products – ShotGrid and Moxion.

      As the Chief of Staff, you will report to the Vice President of PM&P, and work with the PM&P leadership team, and other Chiefs of Staff, both from the EMS organization and across Autodesk, to ensure all PM&P programs, and roadmaps are well planned and accomplished. As a necessary contributor in the PM&P team, you will ensure the team has an organized and efficient operating model. You will define and manage the rhythm of this product and engineering organization. You will be an important player requiring influence, initiative, creativity, and resolve to ensure the team is well positioned to succeed. You will partner with the Vice-President and the PM&P leadership team to influence our culture, build engagement, and define our strategic plans and main investments. You will make a big impact and help create clarity and define what success is for the team.

      This role can be on-site, hybrid or remote anywhere in the United States or Canada, preference to candidates in the Central or Eastern timezone.

      Responsibilities

      • Manage the PM&P operating model; assess the current state of the PM&P team to ensure the team always has the right structure, accountabilities, and governance to lead as the team grows and scales

      • Manage and run leadership meetings inclusive of identifying the right topics to cover, facilitating complex discussions, identifying important action items, and following up

      • Manage and run process and product workstreams bringing teams together to present strategic plans and execution updates to CEO staff

      • Distill and summarize strategic discussions into discernible, executable plans; allow discussion while providing the connection points between strategic ideas

      • Be an advisor to the VP and leadership team and be a trusted sounding board on matters of strategy and operations

      • Help develop team charter/mission and track team priorities in a way where you can surface issues and roadblocks early on

      • Ensure measurable goals are developed for PM&P programs and that they support our goals

      • Partner with the PM&P leadership team to ensure understanding with other EMS/Autodesk groups and main collaborators

      • Develop the PM&P team's Communications Plans, both internal and external

      • Champion employee engagement for the team

      • Attend meetings, provide direction, and address inquiries or issues on behalf of the VP as their proxy

      Minimum Qualifications

      • 10+ years of experience in a high-tech business environment

      • 10+ years of experience in program management, management consulting, business operations, strategic planning or a similar function

      • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, scrum) and technical knowledge; have had a role working for a product team/organization in a product management or engineering role

      • Record of seamless execution of complex projects

      • Outstanding facilitation and presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint

      • Influence and communicate effectively

      • Proper judgment, business sense, and organizationally savvy

      • Analytical, strategic, and intuitive

      • Steer teams towards decision-making

      • Experience ensuring accountability and results

      • Bachelor's or MS degree

      Salary transparency

      Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,000 and $253,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
